Irisity AB: Major shareholders in Irisity request an extra general meeting to vote on proposals for a new board.

After reviewing the board’s leadership and governance, Ulf Runmarker believe that changes in board composition and leadership are necessary and urgent to ensure the company’s continued success and growth, as well as to retain key competencies.

For the extraordinary general meeting, it is proposed that the current board member Ulf Runmarker be appointed as chairman of the board and that the company’s former CEO Marcus Bäcklund be appointed executive board member.

Ulf Runmarker, is today a board member and long-term owner of Irisity and together with his owning companies, the company’s largest owner. Marcus Bäcklund, is the former CEO of Irisity and brings experience and leadership to the company’s new board and as a support to the CEO.

Following the approval of the extraordinary general meeting, current chairman Lennart Svantesson and board members Anders Långsved and Rom Mendel will be dismissed from their duties, board members Anna Ahlberg, Nils Malmros and Dorian Barak are proposed to be re-elected.

These changes will give the CEO and management the mandate, motivation and confidence required to develop the company further with value creation and continuity, while achieving the company’s strategic goals, believes Ulf Runmarker. The owners also intend to expand the board further with strong competence and leadership over time.
